Shree Devi College of Fashion Design offers a 3-year Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Fashion Design, B.Sc (F.D.).

Affiliation
The college is affiliated to Mangalore University and the Bachelor’s Degree is awarded to successful candidates as per the University rules and regulations.

Eligibility for Admission
Any candidate who has passed the Pre-University Examination conducted by the Pre-University Education Board in the State of Karnataka, or any other 10+2 examination considered as an equivalent by Mangalore University, in Science, Commerce or Arts disciplines is eligible for admission to this programme.
or
Three year Polytechnic Diploma in any branch conducted by Board of Technical Education and Examinations of any State Government
or
Two year JOC Programme conducted by Board of Vocational Education of any State Government is eligible for admission to this programme.

Admission of Diploma holders to II year (III semester)
Candidates who have passed the three years polytechnic diploma examination conducted by any State Government Board of Technical Education in the following branches may be directly admitted to II year (III Semester) programmes (i) Costume Design & Dress Making, (ii) Apparel Design & Fashion Technology, (iii) Diploma in Handloom Technology, (iv) Diploma in Textile Technology, (v) Diploma in Textile Processing, (vi) Diploma in Weaving Technology, (vii) Diploma in Knitting Technology, (viii) Diploma in Leather Technology.

Curriculum Overview
The duration of the programme shall extend over a period of six semesters (3 academic years). A candidate shall undergo a compulsory in-house training of 2 months in any of the Research and Development institutions, factories or related institutions or organizations before appearing for final year (VI semester) examinations.

Mode of Selection
On scrutiny of applications received, eligible candidates will be selected. The candidates will have to get themselves admitted on payment of fees prescribed.
All admissions are subject to eligibility conditions of Mangalore University. Eligibility Certificates will have to be obtained from Mangalore University.
